Please try and support CAFOD's work with those less fortunate than us. The retiring collection this Sunday  will be for CAFOD. As a UK taxpayer, we can maximise our offerings by use of the Gift Aid Scheme. This will see CAFOD claiming an additional 25% on all donations that we make. The Gift Aid declaration is easily completed and can be found attached to the donation envelopes. These envelopes will be distributed across all church benches should you decide to use one, further they contain a brief introduction to CAFOD's work. Just what could this extra 25% deliver; fewer miles walked to collect safe water thus freeing up the children to attend school, more evacuation sites to protect against the aftereffects of volcanic disruption or indeed more toilets from Sister Bernadette in Sierra Leone — what a relief.
