Archbishop Michael Bowen

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Archbishop Michael Bowen died on Thursday 17th October, at St Peter's Home, Vauxhall, aged 89. He was a faithful servant of the Church and especially of the two dioceses of which he was the chief shepherd. Please do pray for him and his family. Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen. 

The Liturgies will take place at St George's Cathedral, Southwark, as follows:

Sunday 3rd November:

5pm: Reception into St George's Cathedral

6pm: Cathedral Mass: Archbishop Kevin McDonald

8pm: Vigil Service, after which the Cathedral will close.

Monday 4th November:

7am: Cathedral opens

7.30am: Cathedral Mass

12.30pm: Funeral Mass: Archbishop John Wilson

Burial in the Cathedral Crypt at the end of the Mass
