Having put the Christmas paraphernalia away, and already there is anecdotal evidence of Easter Eggs in the shops, our minds now turn to Lent – really!!!! For CAFOD, the Lenten campaign is one of their big awareness (and money) drives alongside the Harvest Festival. But let us not wish summer away before it has even arrived. CAFOD’s activities are not confined to only two campaigns, the relief agency is involved in many initiatives, often supported by local parish groups. These “initiatives” will see references to sustainability, our common home, or even a zero emissions target. His Holiness Pope Francis is not the first to remind us that we are but temporary custodians of this planet.
