Dear Friend of the Friday Fax,

Imagine being 25 years old and approaching an Ambassador from a foreign country in the halls of the UN. You approach him to ask if he would help you strike anti-life language from an official UN document.

You do not know if he is friendly. You do not know how he will receive you. Will he welcome you or turn you brusquely away?

You don't know. . .yet you do it anyway. You do it every day.

I could not imagine myself doing such a thing at that young age.
Yet this is what C-FAM and the Friday Fax team do day in and day out.
They participate at one of the highest levels of diplomatic intrigue in the world.
And this is what they are doing now most urgently as the UN negotiates a document that has "sex rights" for children as young as ten. You read that right. The UN is right now negotiating a document that calls for sex rights for kids. We must stop them!
This is what our young Catholics face.

Most of the Ambassadors and other diplomats from foreign countries at the UN are the cream of their countries' crop. The UN is a plum assignment. They are the best of the best. And here comes a young Catholic pro-lifer, with a lot of smarts, and even more bravery, asking for things.
The reality of our work at the UN is that we have many friends. We meet many who are undecided. We meet many enemies, too.
The stakes are remarkably high. Some at the UN, not all but many, want to make abortion on demand the law of the world. They include the most powerful countries in the world; the U.S., France, Germany, the United Kingdom. They include powerful UN agencies like the UN Population Fund, UNICEF, the World Health Organization and the World Bank. They include powerful advocacy groups like Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights. They include incredibly rich foundations like Ford, Rockefeller, Gates and Soros.

So, when one of our young Catholics walks up to a UN Ambassador, he is really going up against this array of worldly powers.

C-FAM and the Friday Fax are the only Christian organization working full time at the UN to stop the killing of unborn babies. We are the only Christian group working full time at UN headquarters to stop the redefinition of the family. So far, thanks be to God, we and our coalition partners have been successful in stopping an international right to abortion and stopping a redefinition of the family. But our fight continues every single day.

As we speak the UN is negotiating a document that will be decided in Rio de Janeiro this June. The document is already loaded up with faux-abortion language. The document is already loaded up with "sex rights" for children as young as ten. You read that right; sex rights for children as young as ten years old.

Besides talking to diplomats and trying to squash bad and even evil language, our young staff members also report and write the Friday Fax. A woman recently approached my wife and said, "The Friday Fax is like John the Evangelist crying out in the wilderness!" Indeed, it is.

The Friday Fax is the only one of its kind. It is the pro-life and pro-family report from deep inside the UN. It is the report that now has 390,000 readers, including editions in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Polish! It is the weekly report that has formed a global community that knows what actually goes on inside the UN.

The Friday Fax tells stories you would not hear anywhere else. If the Friday Fax did not report, the stories would likely not be told. This is why Life News and LifeSiteNews re-run the Friday Fax almost every week. This is why pro-lifers all over the world send the Friday Fax along to their family members, their friends, their Parliamentarians and legislators!

The Friday Fax is written by the young Christians I have just told you about. These brave young men and women standing in the gap!

We ask your prayers for them. I ask you to stop reading right now and say a prayer for these brave people and for the diplomats they are desperately trying to persuade to spare unborn babies.

And I ask for your sacrificial gift to keep the Friday Fax going. The Friday Fax comes each week by email to 390,000 subscribers and by mail to 15,000 who would not otherwise receive it. The Friday Fax is not free. The Friday Fax costs $170,000 each year to produce. This includes tiny salaries, office space, printing, postage. There are also huge costs for sending out twenty-million emails each and every year!
C-FAM and the Friday Fax do not receive money from big foundations. We do not get any money from the government. We do not receive money from the Church (in fact, we financially support the Church). We do not have many "big" donors. Almost all of our money comes from small donors which means we need a lot of them. Which means we cannot spare even a single one! We need them all.

I ask you now, to go HERE <http://www.c-fam.org/support/> and give the Friday Fax as much as you possibly can. I need to raise $85,000 over the next six weeks in order to keep the Friday Fax humming along.

Your sacrificial gift of $100, $50 or $25 will go directly to the support of these young Christians bravely fighting in the lion's den.

Perhaps you can afford more than that. Perhaps you are so gifted that you can send us $5000? It has happened! Perhaps you can spare $1000, or $500. That would be an amazing blessing.

Just know, that as we speak, UN diplomats are negotiating a document that has sex rights for children. That should make your blood boil as it does mine. C-FAM and the Friday Fax need to be in those small rooms where the deals are made. Your sacrificial gift can make that happen.

Please, right now, go HERE <http://www.c-fam.org/support/> and give as much as you can. You can give in a number of ways, 1) using a credit card and our totally secure server connected right to our bank, 2) by mail (the address is listed HERE <http://www.c-fam.org/support/mail-your-donation.html> ) and 3) by PayPal.

Just know that our young Christians are there so you don't have to be. Please help them in their lonely work.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse

PS I pledge to you that we will not stop until this fight is over. We love our work. We are passionate about defending unborn children. We cannot do it all alone. You help is needed now.
